This inspection is done only by Licenced Electric Heavy Vehicle Inspectors with complete knowledge of electric motor and battery technology and not just by a normal diesel mechanic.

There are many different types of truck trailers, such as tipper trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, drop decks, side curtains, containers, car carriers, and more. All trailers are inspected by heavy truck mechanics, and the inclusions for each inspection vary depending on the make and model.

This is a comprehensive inspection that covers all visible parts of the trailer. If the trailer is connected to a truck, we can also check functionalities such as the tipper PTO and fridge however if we are inspecting both the truck and trailer, the trailer will be inspected first. Afterward, the owner will need to detach the trailer before we can take the truck for a test drive. Despite detaching the trailer is very easy and quick, our inspectors are not authorised to detach any trailers so please inform the owner to be aware.
