An end-of-warranty car inspection is essential to ensure you can claim any necessary repairs or replacements before the warranty period expires, saving you from future out-of-pocket expenses.
With many vehicles in Australia now offering warranties of 5 to 10 years, the likelihood of issues increases as the vehicle nears the end of its warranty. An inspection at this stage provides peace of mind by identifying any potential problems that may need attention.
End-of-warranty vehicle inspections have become increasingly popular in Australia, and it's one of our most requested services. We've assisted hundreds of Australians in claiming necessary repairs before their warranties expire, ensuring they maximise the benefits of their coverage.
Last Check is a leading provider of end-of-warranty inspections in NSW, conducting hundreds of inspections annually. Our inspection reports are recognised and valid throughout Australia, giving you confidence no matter where you're located. Whether you're purchasing a vehicle in another state or looking for peace of mind locally, our comprehensive reports adhere to the national standards for vehicle assessments.
We take pride in our 100% success rate in assisting clients with their warranty claims meaning we have never had any case rejected. Our specialised and thorough inspections ensure that every issue is accurately identified, helping you secure the repairs and services you're entitled to without hassle.
At Last Check, our end-of-warranty car inspection reports are indisputable. You receive hundreds of photographs detailing the condition of your vehicle, particularly from hard-to-see areas like the chassis, underbody, gearbox, engine and small oil leaks. Each fault is accompanied by a photograph, a clear explanation, and a repair recommendation, ensuring the manufacturer addresses the report without dispute.
If you're aware of any specific issues with your vehicle, simply inform our inspectors, and we’ll gather supporting evidence and include it in the report. Additionally, if your vehicle has an engine warning light on the instrument cluster, we will perform a diagnostic as part of your report, saving you a trip to the workshop for pre-repair diagnosis. Take a look at our Sample Report to see what yours will look like.
The price of your car includes the entire warranty term, meaning you’ve already paid for it before taking delivery of the vehicle. This is why purchasing an additional warranty requires extra payment.
It’s only wise to ensure the money you've invested in your car isn't wasted, especially if you've owned it for more than three years. Mechanical and electronic faults can often be hidden, with no obvious signs of malfunction, making them easy to overlook. For instance, the vehicle might need new oxygen sensors, have emission compliance issues, developed a small oil leak which cannot be seen on the floor, or require new spark plugs, yet still seem to run perfectly fine.
However, these issues can escalate, leading to urgent and costly repairs. That’s why a thorough inspection, both physically and with computer diagnostics, is essential to uncover any hidden problems and ensure your vehicle is performing as it should.
At Last Check, we provide specialised end-of-warranty car inspections to both the general public and government fleets. We service a wide range of fleet vehicles, including those from public and private hospitals, schools, government organisations, and hire car companies. All of these clients rely on us to deliver trustworthy inspections and to simply do the right thing.
We never assign inspectors randomly. Each inspector is selected based on their deep knowledge of the specific vehicle type, ensuring they understand what is normal and abnormal, and have the right tools to thoroughly assess the vehicle’s condition.
For instance, European cars are inspected by fully qualified European car mechanics, and Asian vehicles by experts in those models. This ensures any subtle differences, such as a slight lag in some diesel engines compared to petrol ones, are correctly identified as either normal or requiring attention.
Our service not only identifies faults but also offers peace of mind, assuring you that your vehicle is in good condition and free of hidden concerns.
All our inspectors are Licensed Mechanics with a minimum of 15 years of experience, ensuring that no detail is overlooked during the inspection, giving you complete confidence in the results.
At Last Check, our end-of-warranty inspections are not limited to conventional petrol-powered cars. We perform inspections on all makes and models of electric vehicles, including electric cars, buses, and trucks. These inspections are conducted by our licensed electric vehicle inspectors, and the report inclusions differ from those of traditional vehicles.
While electric cars share many components with conventional vehicles, their powertrain is completely different. Instead of a combustion engine and gearbox, they feature electric motors and high-voltage EV batteries. Our inspectors have a deep understanding of electric vehicle structures and battery functionality. Just like with traditional vehicles, we inspect every part, including the health of the battery and the performance of the motor, and provide a detailed report supported by numerous pictures. This ensures you can claim all of your entitlements free of charge.
For heavy vehicles like electric trucks and buses, bookings can be made on the appropriate pages. To schedule an end-of-warranty electric bus inspection, visit our Bus Inspection page, and for electric trucks, please refer to our Truck Inspection page.
To book an end-of-warranty inspection for electric cars, visit our Electric Car Inspection page to view the service details and make a booking.
At Last Check, we ensure that no pre-purchase inspection is conducted without full insurance coverage. Our priority is to provide peace of mind for both the seller and the buyer, assuring them that if anything happens to the vehicle, we are fully insured.
We provide insurance for all inspected vehicles up to $100,000, along with public liability coverage between $5 million and $20 million, in case of an at-fault accident or any damage we may cause. While we are fully committed to returning the vehicle to the seller in its original condition, without disassembling any parts, we want both parties to feel reassured that they are covered in the rare event of an incident.
Our inspectors handle all vehicles with the utmost care and perform mobile roadside inspections at safe, secure locations for both the owner and the inspector. All necessary safety measures are followed to minimise risk. Nonetheless, our insurance is in place should any issue arise.
Whether the inspection takes place at a dealership or a private residence, our inspectors will not begin until they are certain that the vehicle is insured. This provides valuable reassurance to all parties that the vehicle inspection company they’ve engaged is professional and will not put their vehicle at risk in any way.
Our main goal is to exceed our valuable clients’ expectations by providing a Vehicle Inspection Service unlike any other along with the best possible customer service.
Customer satisfaction is our number one priority, and we take this very seriously. Our Licenced Inspectors do not look at any client as a number, they look at each car as if they want to buy it for themselves. This is how they have been trained before joining our force.
Our premium inspection plans include more checks which makes a big difference however our basic packages are still very comprehensive.
For each inspection, your inspector will get a different checklist and the vehicle inspection will not end until the list is completed. The checklist intensity and inclusions are based on the inspection package you have chosen, and different plans have different inclusions.
After the inspection, your inspector will call you and give you a complete verbal report over the phone. You will then have the chance to ask all mechanical questions from the same mechanic who has inspected your vehicle.
Within 24 hours of the inspection, you will receive a 40+ Page Detailed Report along with Hundreds of Pictures, Vehicle History Report (PPSR Report), your payment receipt and all other associated documents. To see what the report looks like, please visit the Sample Report page.
If your plan includes Urgent SMS Report that can be added to your service before checkout, you will get the report normally on the same day via SMS. If you are making a phone booking, you can ask us to upgrade your report to urgent. To learn more about us, please visit Why Last Check & Only @ Last Check.
