We inspect all makes and models of vehicles available in the Australian market without exception. The only difference in our inspections is the licensed mechanic assigned to the job and the customised checklist they use for each specific make and model.

Before appointing an inspector, we perform a strict experience match, ensuring that the mechanic sent is thoroughly familiar with the vehicle they are inspecting. The checklist for each vehicle is also tailored to its make and model, allowing our inspectors to cover every part of the vehicle and ensuring nothing is overlooked.

For luxury cars, European models, and performance vehicles with higher repair costs, we offer an enhanced inspection plan with additional inclusions. At Last Check, we have assembled the best-qualified mechanics and auto engineers, each with 15 to 30 years of experience, specialising in all types of vehicle inspections to give you complete peace of mind when buying a used car. LAST CHECK CAR INSPECTION PLANS

Our Pre-Purchase Car Inspection is meticulously designed to cover every aspect of two-wheel-drive vehicles, offering a level of detail far beyond a standard inspection.

We provide two comprehensive plans:

• 500 Point Check: A detailed inspection that goes beyond the basics, including scanner-based computer fault diagnosis along with a wide range of additional assessments for peace of mind.
• 600+ Point Manufacturer Check: A premium inspection process that is 100% identical to the Manufacturer’s own inspection, using the same master computer software tailored to each make and model. For example, if you own a Volkswagen Golf, the inspection we perform is exactly what Volkswagen would carry out, with the added benefit of assessments that the Manufacturer does not provide.

This advanced process covers everything mechanically that the Manufacturer checks and can also identify Hidden Faults that may have been deliberately deleted by the Owner or Dealer. “Just say good luck to the scammers, we’ve got your back!”

Beyond the Manufacturer’s scope, our inspection also includes a detailed body assessment to uncover evidence of past accidents that may not have been disclosed by the Dealer and do not appear as Written Off in the PPSR. Our Master Computer Diagnosis evaluates the Powertrain, Gearbox and all other internal components in detail. All inspections are performed by Fully Qualified Mechanics with specialised expertise, ensuring every aspect of the Vehicle is assessed.

100% SPECIALISED MOBILE CAR INSPECTION

There is no Random Car Inspection at Last Check. We perform strict experience matches before each Vehicle Inspection to ensure they get done only by someone who knows the vehicle very well.

European vehicles get checked only by European Car Mechanics, and Asian, Australian & American cars get inspected only by the Right Qualified Car Inspector. Only @ Last Check

ODOMETER ROLLBACK CHECK & VIN VALIDATION

At Last Check, we provide 100% Accurate Odometer Rollback Verification for most passenger cars manufactured after 2005, excluding heavy vehicles. Tesla vehicles do not require this service, as their mileage and VIN data are securely stored and cannot be altered. Unlike online reports, which rely on human data entry and are often unreliable, our state-of-the-art technology can detect tampering with complete precision, even if the odometer has been rolled back by as little as one kilometre. In addition to mileage verification, we can also confirm the vehicle’s True VIN. Even if VIN plates have been replaced or the vehicle is linked to legal issues, our system can uncover the genuine VIN with 100% accuracy.

In some cases, our advanced tools can also detect whether major components such as the engine, transmission, hybrid battery, or EV motor have been replaced. This, however, depends on the data stored within the vehicle’s ECU and may not be available in all vehicles.

Please note that the Odometer Rollback Check is not automatically included in our inspection reports. You may add this service during online checkout or request it when booking over the phone. Unlike our inspection services, which are prepaid, this service is Post-Paid, meaning you only pay once results are delivered. If the ECU does not store mileage information, we can still verify the VIN in 99% of cases, and this will be provided to you free of charge.
